PSL 2021: Virus-hit Islamabad United allowed to pick 2 foreign players |

The Pakistan Super League (PSL) has granted Islamabad United the special permission to pick just two foreign players in their line-up for tonight’s match against Quetta Gladiators instead of the mandatory minimum of three.

United have been hit by the novel coronavirus and have lost two of their foreign recruits, including Pakistani-Australian legspinner Fawad Ahmed.

Meanwhile, their other player Ali Khan is out injured while another unnamed cricketer also has the virus.

In light of their light numbers, they had requested the league’s technical committee to make an exception – a request that has been granted.
