In the days leading up to the five-match T20 series Kyle Jamieson earned quite the pay check.
The giant right-arm quick with blonde hair, who had run through Pakistan in the red ball format of the game over the Christmas period, went for a cool A$2.66 million.
Royal Challengers Bangalore might well be sweating now – and the focus will turn on former Black Caps coach Mike Hesson.
Jamieson was whacked for 26 off the last over of the innings as Australian skipper Aaron Finch, who went unsold at the auction, sat bat and swung through the line, playing with the straightest of bats and hit four sixes.

Up until the last over, Australia and Finch had been crawling along; Finch struggling to find the middle of the bat, let along the fence.
Then Finch eyed up Jamieson, standing well back in his crease and playing two glorious shots over cover, before finishing the innings with two over the fence on the on-side.
It left the quick with the unflattering figures of 1-175 for the series to date, and his struggles weren’t missed by those covering the series.
